BOYS

Sacred Heart’s Mustapha Heron after win over Watertown. (RA)
- Ryan LaMay poured in 28 points, made eight steals and dished seven assists to lead Shepaug to a 73-54 Berkshire League boys basketball win over Gilbert.
- Darryl Flowers had a game-high 18 points for Kennedy in a 70-34 win over Woodland.
- Mustapha Heron netted 28 points for Sacred Heart in an 88-58 win at Watertown. Raheem Solomon added 20 points and Tyrn Flowers 19.
- Jonathan Mowatt dropped in 26 points and Deandre Wallace added 16 as Holy Cross pulled away from Torrington in the second half for an 85-58 win. The Crusaders were up, 36-30, at halftime, but outscored the Raiders, 49-28, the rest of the way.
- Chase Belden had a team-high 23 points and Rich Pugliese added 18 for Pomperaug in a 82-67 win over host New Milford.
- Tushar Spooner scored a game-high 22 points to help host Seymour beat Derby, 73-55.
- St. Paul’s Mike Ranagan and Jackson Hines combined for seven 3-pointers and the Falcons went 12-of-14 from the foul line in the fourth period to take down host Oxford, 73-61. Ranagan totaled 19 points and Hines 16.
GIRLS
- Thomaston’s Morgan Sanson scored 16 points, including her 1,000th career point, in a 65-25 win over Litchfield. Sanson now has 1,003 points. The Bears improved to 4-0.
- Down by 12 points with 4:00 left in the third quarter, Woodland surged back to take a 64-56 home win over Kennedy. Marina Bojka had a game-high 35 points with 10 rebounds and four steals while Carla Piccolo netted 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Hawks (3-1).
- Abby Collier scored 20 points for Watertown in a 50-33 win over Sacred Heart.
- Grace Valickis scored 17 points to lead Gilbert over Shepaug, 58-52, in Winsted. Deanna Delecruz added 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Yellowjackets (1-3). Shepaug’s Caroline Kelly had a game-high 22 points with 11 rebounds.
- Ciara Haensel tallied 10 points and 10 rebounds for Cheshire as it defeated Wilbur Cross, 40-37.
