Here are the highlights from Tuesday night:
BOYS BASKETBALL
- Tyairus Sands hit the game-winning floater in the lane as time expired to lift the Kennedy boys basketball team to a 76-75 victory over Wilby on Tuesday night in each team’s NVL Brass Division

- Christian Harris had hit two free throws with 3.2 seconds left to give Wilby a 75-74 lead. Sands took the ensuing inbounds pass and drove into the lane for the game-winner. Sands finished with eight rebounds, seven assists and five steals.
- Tyvon Stenson had 19 points and eight assists for Kennedy (4-0). Lashawn Smith had 14 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks.
- Nasir Smith had 17 points and 14 rebounds for the Wildcats. Eddie Hightower had 17 points.
- Cristyan Clase had 28 points to lead Ansonia over Derby, 65-54. Isaiah Walker scored 25 in the loss.
- Ben North scored 14 points and Jayson Reola 12 as Northwestern beat Litchfield, 55-36.
- Jaylen Crawford had 34 points for Seymour as it defeated Oxford, 83-47. Kevin Crawford added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats.
- Jordan Henneberry had 18 points and Stephon Dailey 16 for Torrington in a 71-59 win over Wolcott.
- Guy Curtis scored 16 points to lead Watertown to a 70-58 win over Woodland.
- Austin Jones had 18 points to lead St. Paul (3-1) to a 65-48 victory over Naugatuck.
- Garrett Sattazahn had 18 points and Max Loomis 17 as Wamogo beat Shepaug, 52-34.
- Ayden Zucco and Jacob Shpur netted 21 and 20 points, respectively, to lead Housatonic over Gilbert, 78-62. Jake Royer had 19 points for Gilbert.
- Josh Schibi had 22 points and Kyle Alvarez 14 as Lewis Mills beat Thomaston, 64-52. Noah Daigle had 17 points for the Bears.
GIRLS BASKETBALL
- Brie Pergola had 21 points and Sidney Kovall scored seven of her eight points in the fourth quarter to help Torrington in a 54-50 win over host Wolcott.
- Faith Thurmond had 11 rebounds and Seymour outscored Oxford, 22-4, in fourth in a 46-35 win.
- Armani Weaver had 17 points to lead WCA to a 44-34 win over Crosby.
- Joyce Benton had 15 points and 10 rebounds in a 49-18 win over Wilby.
- Emily Yonych and Mia Juodaitis each scored 18 points as Cheshire topped Jonathan Law, 53-49.
- Meah Austin scored 16 points to lead Holy Cross over Sacred Heart, 57-39.

Steven Valenti Republican-American - Anna Chevarella scored 21 points to lead Derby over Ansonia, 40-37, in overtime.
- Rose Kelly had 20 points and Cassidy Wilson 15 for Wamogo in a 67-46 win over Shepaug.
- Sam Foley scored 11 points as Litchfield topped Northwestern, 43-38, in overtime.
- Karli Opalka tallied 12 points, 19 rebounds and five steals for Pomperaug in a 57-39 loss to ND-Fairfield.
BOYS SWIMMING
- Ryan Hickey (200 IM, 100 back) and Chris Fryer (200 free, 500 free) won two events each and swam on a winning relay (200 medley) in Holy Cross’ 95-68 win over Wilby.
- Zach Fell won the 200 and 500 freestyles and swam on the winning 400 free relay in a 89.5-80.5 win over Watertown. Arion Mete won the 50 free and 100 butterfly for the Indians.
- Jack Pesce won the 100 freestyle and 200 IM in Shepaug’s 94-92 loss to Litchfield.
