Perfect game for Seymour’s Geffert in NVL opener

In the NVL quarterfinals at Seymour High, senior pitcher Raeanne Geffert threw a perfect game Saturday with 13 strikeouts. That total pushed her past the 1,000-career strikeout mark.

For Seymour, Becca Johnson had three hits and scored the only run in the first inning, coming home on an RBI single by Beca Findley in the first inning.

Ivy Gelosa struck out two for the Hawks.

Seymour is now 20-1 while Woodland is 10-11.
