Lizzy Cretella netted 23 points for No. 3 St. Paul as it defeated No. 30 East Catholic, 72-44, in the first round of the Class M girls basketball tournament Saturday in Bristol.
Morina Bojka scored 21 points in Woodland’s 62-50 Class M first-round loss to Coginchaug in Durham.
Abby Collier scored 16 points to lead No. 12 Watertown past No. 21 Bullard-Havens in the first round of the Class M tournament in Watertown.
Karen Brosko scored 19 points to lead No. 21 Wilton over No. 12 Kennedy, 54-45.
Sarah Norwood and Destiny Prather each had 11 points for the Eagles (18-6).
Faith Thurmond and Samantha Torres each had 13 points in Seymour’s 68-44 first-round loss to Rocky Hill.
GYMNASTICS
In Class S gymnastics at Pomperaug, Woodstock Academy won the title with a score of 147.050, followed by Old Lyme (128.575) and Law (128.150).
Pomperaug was fourth (127.250). Oxford finished eighth (113.825).
